How these profiles are used
The tools use 35mm-equivalent focal length to estimate horizontal field of view. That avoids guessing physical sensor dimensions and allows different phone camera modules to be compared on the same geometric basis.
What the database does not claim
It does not rank image processing, autofocus, stabilization or low-light quality from specifications alone. Those characteristics require controlled testing. The database gives the planning layer a defensible starting point and links the source used for each manufacturer claim.
